ME 212: EDUCATIONAL PLANNING
Timed Test 1: Wednesday 13th January, 20116: (Time 12:00-13:00 Hours)

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Only one question will be attempted from the four alternatives provided.
  • The instructor has discretion and mandate of making his own selection among the given alternatives. 

ALTERNATIVE QUESTIONS
1.     With reference to comprehensive planning in education:
a)     Critically, discuss the differences between incrementalism planning and transactive planning in educational setting.
b)    Which among the two planning process (above) befits the context of educational planning in Tanzania; and why? 

2.     The Hunter Study can be considered as an orthodox of educational planning for manpower development in Tanzania in the pre-Arusha Declaration period. Discuss its strengths and weaknesses in the educational planning for development.

3.     Discuss the significance of school Based-Based Management (SBM) in educational planning in Tanzania.

4.     Educational planning for expansion and increased accessibility for secondary schooling is considered as a social vaccine against HIV infections scourge among adolescents in Sub-Saharan Africa. Discuss.

NOTE:  This test will take only 45 minutes. Make sure you read and understand each question before you embark on answering it.
